Aruba celebrates the birthday of King Willem Alexander every year on April 27.
King's Day is an official Aruban holiday as the Netherlands, Aruba and the other Dutch Caribbean islands celebrate the birthday of King Willem Alexander every year on April 27.
An official government ceremony in honour of King Willem Alexander is usually held at the Wilhelmina Park in Oranjestad, where the public can enjoy a parade of Aruba’s military and scouting groups.
Numerous sporting events, fun-filled street fairs, kite flying contests and family-friendly celebrations take place all over the island.
Bear in mind:
As King’s Day is an official Aruban holiday, you can expect shops, petrol stations and supermarkets to close early or remain closed the entire day.
