About

The surf is up at Hadicurari Beach. Also known as Fisherman’s Huts or The Huts, this is Aruba's ultimate surfing playground.

Once home to the island’s fishermen and named after the small huts they built here, Hadicurari Beach or Fisherman's Huts is the most popular spot in Aruba to learn and practice wind and kite surfing.

Hadicurari Beach, or Fisherman’s Huts, is a rocky coast beyond the Marriott Aruba Resort, where windsurfers slice the water and the aeronautics of colourful kite-surf crescents punctuate the horizon. Many wind and kite surf schools, paddle board and other non motorised water sports are found here.

The Aruba Hi-Winds, the largest windsurfing event in the Caribbean, is held every year in June or July off the beaches at Fisherman's Huts at Hadicurari. The water is very shallow and calm here, also making this beach front a favourite for local families with children.

Fun fact: Aruba born Sarah-Quita Offringa, multiple women's world champion free-style wind surfer, can be found in the gorgeous waters of Hadicurari Beach when she is not in international waters competing on a PWA World Tour.
