The Academy of Fine Arts & Design, which is located in a meticulously refurbished historical building in downtown Oranjestad, offers a curriculum designed to educate students on various disciplines — including photography, film, animation, sculpture, drawing, painting, 3-D, architecture and sound, while also preparing them for the rigours of studying art at a university level.

At Ateliers ‘89, Arubans and visiting students experience an orientation to contemporary applied art and design. Workshops in various disciplines include painting, installations, video art, photography, fashion, graphic design, ceramics and more. Established local and and visiting international artists conduct workshops that culminate in an exhibition for the public.

The Da Vinci Academy offers the opportunity for Aruban youth to explore their creative instincts at this after-school academy offering classes in various art disciplines, as well as dance, theatre and music lessons.

In addition to these established schools, our Cas di Cultura (House of Culture) offers periodic workshops and art fairs, as well as dance, music and theatre courses.

It is highly important to inspire and nurture these ingenious thinkers as their artistic contributions enrich our cultural history and development. Students of Art schools in Aruba have gone on to make a career out of their talents both locally and internationally!
