Born and raised in Aruba, Edjean Semeleer is a multi-disciplined and multi-talented authority of Aruban culture. For over 30 years, he has championed Aruba's culture through song, storytelling, and strategy—uniting artists, communities, and causes to inspire, transform, and leave a lasting imprint on Aruba’s creative soul.

Edjean has received multiple honors for his contributions to Aruba's culture, including awards for artistic excellence and community impact. In addition, edjean was lauded both locally and within cultural leadership circles as an artist who bridges performance and social engagement. Edjean is a seasoned public speaker on topics related to the economic and social value of cultural and creative industries.

He began his career as a professional singer. Edjean has released numerous recordings, both seasonal and standalone, blending Aruban cultural style with pop and traditional influence. In later years he also became a TV host and producer of local tv shows and local concerts. Edjean is the co-founder and Vice-President of the Go Cultura Foundation in Aruba.
