About

Easter and Easter Monday are official holidays in Aruba.

Easter and Easter Monday are public holidays in Aruba and along with Good Friday, these holidays form a long Easter holiday weekend. Lots of Arubans attend church, visit their families, participate in egg hunts but the biggest Easter tradition of all is Beach camping!

For decades already entire families pull out their tents and transform several beaches of Aruba into complete campgrounds. Especially the beaches of Eagle Beach, Hadicurari Beach and Baby Beach are packed with tents and improvised kitchens.

On the beaches in front of the hotels in Palm Beach, however, camping is prohibited. The hotels and resorts in Aruba during Easter host several Easter brunch buffets and offer special Easter menus. Make your reservation on time, because they're very popular!

On Easter and Easter Monday all the shops and offices are closed in Aruba, but the facilities in and around the hotels are open as normal. On Easter Sunday there will be a mass given in English at the St. Anna church in Noord at 11:00 am. At the malls in Palm Beach and Oranjestad special kid-friendly events are organized such as egg hunting competitions.
