As early as 1840, the first Aloe Vera was brought to the island. And with success: the climate and soil conditions ensured healthy, growing and medicinal plants. Soon, two-thirds of the island’s surface was covered with Aloe Vera - and the Aloe farms in Aruba together became one of the world's largest exporters in the world.

Location and opening hours

You can visit Aruba’s Aloe factory and museum from Monday to Friday between 8:30 am and 4:00 pm, and on Saturday between 9:00 am and 12:00 noon. They’re located at Pitastraat 115 in Oranjestad. Oh, and the best thing? Entrance is free!
