Introducing you to a contemporary cuisine & lounge in Aruba: CAYA House restaurant.
The name “CAYA” means “street-calle” in Papiamento/Spanish. Marco Muscariello from Hostaria Da Vittorio, grew up in that same street where CAYA is located. Partnering with Carlos Yagua, they had a vision for a new escape to touch the streets of Aruba.
At the very start, while the premises were being torn down, Marco and Carlos realized that they wanted to maintain the original structure. They renovated this traditional “Cunucu” house into the modern culinary, mixology experience you see now. They meticulously studied all interior and exterior design in detail, to ensure that their guests will feel at home.
At CAYA, people will enjoy delicious food and indulge in the art of crafted cocktails, where our mixologists modernize signature classics and create unforgettable memories via their artistry.
Featuring a culinary menu, showcasing bold flavors from all over Latin America, featuring dishes like Ceviche De Chicharron, covered in leche de tigre; Asado Negro, consisting of short ribs served in black roasted sauce; and our signature Glazed Pork Belly covered in potato foam.
CAYA also recently incorporated exciting new items into their menu. More below!
The series continues, and my next stop is Caya House, one of the hottest new restaurants on the island.
New menu alert! Featuring a delicious roasted Balashi Chicken, marinated in Peruvian pepper “aji-panca” and local Balashi beer. Served with salted potatoes and a fresh mix salad of the day. Another popular new item is The Gringa which consists of a crispy tortilla filled with a mixture of fresh fish, cooked in chipotle chili, and brown pepper. Guests may also choose to end their night with a delicious digestif or mouth-watering dessert. A top favorite is our Delizie Al Limone which is our own version of a lemon cheesecake, served with luxardo limoncello filling and vanilla miso anglaise. As part of our new items, our Salty Caramel Crunch – a beautiful combination of dulce de leche foam caramel, hazelnut cream, and chocolate crunch that will delight all your senses. The interior dining area showcases an open kitchen concept where guests can have a personalized interaction with the chef, an outdoor “pergola” terrace right next to an irresistibly appealing bar (where most people hang out post-dining), and a courtyard which resembles a magical garden. CAYA also has an additional private lounge-booth area where guests can enjoy more privacy. Guests will enter CAYA via an enchanted entrance tunnel that will transport guests into our hidden gem.
We’re just getting started with the amazing effects Aruba has to offer. Dig into your trip details below to unlock a Caribbean experience that will fill you with sunshine and send you home with a happy afterglow that never fades.
