About
We are Aruba's premier distillery, fermenting and distilling products in Aruba from scratch.
As producers of Aruba's first ever distilled gin and aged rums, our primary goal is to create products that are truly Aruban, while delivering a unique experience in our distillery which is located in a fully restored traditional Aruban home built in Aruba's capital and historical district.
We hope to keep alive the traditions, customs and stories of Aruba's history in Oranjestad through our distillery. The inspiration behind our project is the life of Catarina Margarita (Margo) Wever, known by Tan Margo or Pepe Margo by her close family and friends.
Pepe Margo was born in 1905 and lived a long and full life, passing away in 1995. Her story coincided with the major economic, political and historical developments in Aruba's history. Drawing parallels between the two, the Pepe Margo Distillery personifies the best of Aruba and aims to celebrate the history and customs of our beautiful in a way like no other.
