During Mid-year Celebration Playa Linda Recognizes Long History of Associate Contributions Over its 35 Years

The annual mid-year celebration among Playa Linda Beach Resort associates was an all-out affair this year with the resort reaching its 35th anniversary, and with many associates marking their long history with the popular timeshare. The dinner and dance party, themed “rustic chic with a touch of coral”, recently took place in the picturesque environs of Tierra del Sol and with the popular band tsunami further enlivening the evening.
Toasts to all associates were led by General Manager Peter van Grinsven and Director of Operations Sulaika Kelly, with special remarks provided by Executive Housekeeper Ingrid Todd, who also marks her 35th anniversary with the resort this year. Contributions by the resort’s associates has always been key to Playa Linda’s success with members and guests regularly commenting on the high level of customer care and service they encounter, often citing particular employees by name, along with their general comments about the beauty and central location of the Palm Beach-based resort.
Playa Linda is proud of all its hospitality professionals, and is especially grateful to employees whose entire career has been devoted to the resort. Playa Linda boasts numerous 20-plus year employees, as well as several associates who have been with the resort for 30-plus years, among them such stand-outs as Alvero Gonzalez (32 years), Pearl Baptiste (31), Marlyn Tromp (30) and Adela Orman (30). During the celebration, the contributions of the resort’s new generation of hospitality professionals were not overlooked. While accolades were expressed for all associates, an Award of Excellence was presented to Rousanne de Wever who has demonstrated outstanding input and dedication in her role with Human Resources.
The mid-year party has been a staple in Playa Linda’s schedule of annual events for 16 years, Along with the year-end party, Playa Linda celebrates its exceptional associates by providing a mid-year thank you for year-round efforts. Hospitality has always been a hallmark at the Playa Linda, and the ongoing dedication to that high standard was particularly on display this year, with the resort able to deliver on its promise of unforgettable vacation experiences even during recent renovations, with an upgrade of the lobby completed this year, and its suites now undergoing a full transformation to further improve on the resort’s unique charm.
