Retour cards are Afl 8.75 (local currency)/US $5.00, and can be used for two trips (for example, from downtown to the beaches and back). A Baby Beach card is one of the easiest ways to get around the One Happy Island of Aruba is via public transportation, and specifically, by bus. Aruba busses, known to locals as Arubus, are strategically positioned around the island's hot-spots to make transportation both effortless and also economical. Bus stops are mere yards away from our most popular beaches and tourist attractions!

Safe, friendly, and effective rides are the goal of public transportation in Aruba, which is why our Arubus offers several routes running from the main bus depot in Oranjestad to all other destinations of the island. Retour cards, cards for specific beaches, and all-day, unlimited passes are all readily available, giving you the flexibility you need to get anywhere you want to go, whenever you want to be there.

Busses in Aruba also stop at all the hotels! There is a visible sign on the side of the bus that will display the hotel and town that each individual bus is in route too. Aruba busses are also a great way to get an informal tour! Don’t hesitate to ask your driver questions if you need to know where your stop is, or if you’re unsure of whether you picked the right bus. They will gladly help you.

Please note, that the Aruba public transport buses do not operate 24 hours a day.

We’re just getting started with the amazing effects Aruba has to offer. Dig into your trip details below to unlock a Caribbean experience that will fill you with sunshine and send you home with a happy afterglow that never fades.
